At the House
The reception will be held outdoors at our home.
Please wear comfortable shoes for walking on grass
A large tent will be set up, but you may wish to bring an umbrella in case of rain
As we are in the country, there may be insects—flies and the occasional mosquito—so insect repellent may be helpful
We have a pond on the property, and guests are welcome to swim. If you’d like to, please bring a bathing suit and towel.
Parking will be in our hayfield as you enter the driveway—just follow the signs.
We love dogs, and yours are welcome. If you bring one, please keep it on a leash, as we have free-range chickens and cows in nearby fields.

Driving
We are about 3½ hours from New York City.
If you are driving, we encourage taking a scenic route through the Catskills rather than the faster highways.
Along the Way
From New York City, a beautiful route follows the Hudson River and then heads west through Kaaterskill Clove along Route 23A, passing Kaaterskill Falls, one of the most famous waterfalls in the Northeast and a subject of the Hudson River School painters, including Thomas Cole and Frederic Church.
Near Saugerties, Opus 40 is a remarkable six-acre environmental sculpture built over decades by Harvey Fite in a former bluestone quarry.
Continuing west, you’ll pass through towns such as:
Phoenicia (home of the well-known Phoenicia Diner)
Andes, another lovely place to stop
From Boston, a scenic route through the Berkshires and the Hudson River town of Hudson, NY offers a visit to Olana State Historic Site, the home of Frederic Church.
